Filmmakers and Recovery Advocates, Leslie and Lindsey Glass, are creating unique documentary movies that show how prevention and recovery can work for your community, school, family, organization. The goal: to help the effort to reframe the dialogue and make recovery a national priority.
The voice behind The Secret World of Recovery and The Silent Majority, Lindsey Glass, is working to bring new faces of Recovery to America. Lindsey has been a speaker for SAMHSA at the Young People’s Recovery Conference in Cleveland in July 2011 and spoke at a Congressional Briefing in Washington D.C. for FAVOR and NASADAD in March 2012.The Silent Majority previewed at the JMATE convention on April 10, 2012. Lindsey will be filming “Behind the Scenes” at the Prism Awards on April 19, 2012.
Leslie Glass is the producer and director of a new genre of documentaries dedicated to telling the other side of the addiction story. What happens on the other side of the rehab doors? What is sober living really like? What happens when mentors help kids make better choices? How can we lift the Stigma of addiction? Leslie is the NY Times bestselling author of the April Woo series now being developed for a CBS TV series. Producer and Director of “The Secret World of Recovery” and “The Silent Majority,” Leslie is producing a media campaign. Leslie and Lindsey are members of Faces and Voices of Recovery and SAMSHA’s Recovery Planning Partners for 2012 and 1013.
