First ever Rotary teen art/media competition for Mental Health Messaging. Reach Out Recovery is so proud to partner with Rotary Club of Sarasota Bay to present an art/media competition that all high school students in Rotary District 6960 are eligible to enter. This District in in the Southwest of Florida, otherwise known as the Gulf Coast.

Leslie Glass, founder of Reach Out Recovery, author of 15 novels and producer of two documentaries, is the author of Teen Guide To Health, an easy to read book for teens thats a roadmap for what makes you healthy. Les saw the lack of access to resources for mental health education for teens worldwide and spent four years developing her simple guide. The book is based on the three pillars of health, physical, emotional, and social and shows how all three components are needed at every age. The book gives access to crucial knowledge every teen needs, no matter where they live.

Here Leslie Glass speaks to Rotary Youth Leadership in Ft. Meyers, Fl on March 20, 2021. See the video and hear Leslie tell teens why they have the power to change the world.

The 2021 spring-summer Rotary Interact competition challenges teens to read the book and choose a subject from one of the 12 chapters. Then they use their own immagination to create projects that illustrate the theme of their choice. The goal is ignite teens 'curiosity on what makes them healthy, as an alternative approach to just telling them what they should and shouldn't do. Mental health is a subject that has not been explored enough in the teen years and this Rotary and Reach Out Recovery project opens the door for teen voices to provide mental health education to teens worldwide.
