Self-esteem journal prompt time!

Building self-esteem in recovery is critical! It may not be easy at first, but with practice and time, you’ll be amazed at the differences within yourself. For this journal prompt assignment, take a couple of minutes to keep track of your negative thoughts. For this self-esteem journal prompt, write them down and then write down replacement thoughts that are positive.

This is not something you have to show anyone so go wild! Pick the ones that made you feel good and made you feel seen. It is in those moments where we want to get comfortable. If you’re uncomfortable receiving compliments ask yourself why?

Journaling is a fabulous way to get your feelings out on the page. Journaling is an exercise for the mind and it keeps you grounded. Take a few minutes in the morning or evening to reflect on the good things, the recovery things, and the best words that have come your way.
