You may not think sleep hygiene is a thing. It’s high time you did.

You may not have considered sleep hygiene the way you think of other habits and rituals that keep you healthy, but sleep is one of the pillars of health. The benefits of getting enough rest are well known. You have better mental and emotional health, an improvement in mood, increased alertness, and that’s not even talking about the physical benefits. You need sleep because it lends itself to a stronger immune system. And of course, it’s vital in addiction recovery and to balance your blood sugar. All sleep is not equal, so we’ll talk about why healthy sleep is more than catching a few zzzs.
